Registration

Choose your platform

You can register through the Chuuma mobile app (available on Android and iOS) or the USSD platform.

Provide your details

During registration, you will need to provide personal information such as your full name, National ID/Passport number, date of birth, address, email, and phone number911. You will also need to provide your bank account information and Taxpayer Identification Number (if applicable).

Proof of identity and address

You will also need to provide a scanned/photographed copy of a valid ID document and a recent utility bill or bank statement (dated within the last three months).

KYC and Verification

Chuuma implements robust Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) procedures to verify your identity and assess your risk profile.

This includes automated ID checks, document verification, and screening against global watch lists and politically exposed person (PEP) databases.

You will need to have a registered SIM card and mobile money account16 and agree that your full names, Date of Birth (DoB) and National Registration Card (NRC) will be pulled onto the Chuuma platform.
